New Catalogue Blog Hop!

Welcome to the ILWS new catalogue blog hop.  The new and exciting 2012/2013 Stampin' Up! catalogue launches today and you can view all the new products to the right.

You may have arrived from the talented Ally and hope that you enjoy looking at my designs with products from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue.

For the cards below I used two stamp sets, Joyous Celebrations and Scentsational Season.  The colours are Gumball Green which is a brand new In Colour, and Cherry Cobbler, a favourite of mine for this time of year.  I have cut the snowflakes with the new Snow Flurry Bigz Die and look forward to glittering them up for cards and decorations.

Here you can see the close up of the beautiful Scalloped Tulle Ribbon which is very soft and easy to tie.  The Designer Series Paper is part of the Candlelight Christmas Specialty paper pack which includes a beautiful flocked window sheet.

The tree on this card was stamped and then cut with the matching Framelit Dies, making it very precise.  The stamp set and Framelit Dies are available as a 'Scentsational Season' bundle saving 15%.  Again the Scalloped Tulle ribbon adds extra dimension, this time in Early Espresso.

Products Used:
Card and Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green
DSP: Candlelight Christmas Speciality Designer Series Paper
Ribbon: Scalloped Tulle in Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso
Punch: 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle
Dies: Snow Flurry Bigz Die, Holiday Collection Framelits
Stamp Sets: Scentsational Season

All these items are available from the Autumn/Winter catalogue, if you would like a copy, just send me an e-mail.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit, please hop on now to Julie to see her wonderful creations!

My projects today feature the Tea Shoppe Stamp set which includes this gorgeous huge teacup stamp!  The colours, taken from the Twitterpated DSP are Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.

This diaper fold treat holder is so easy to make from a 6" x 6" square piece of DSP.  I have used fruity t-bags to suit the theme, but you can use any treat you wish!

This teacup card has a pouch to hold a couple of teabags inside.  The beautiful ribbon on the front is the new pleated satin - just lovely!

This shows the pouch to hold the teabag packets, and there you have it....tea for two!! (though a couple of cakes wouldn't go amiss)!

So Many Flowers

This bright collection of flowers were punched from the 5 Petal Flower punch in Melon Mambo, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. The centres were punched with the Boho Blossoms punch and finished with Pearl Jewels.

A flower pot shaped card was so easy to create using the base of an A6 tent card and trimming from 1cm in from the bottom edge to the top creased edge. A rectangle of card was embossed with the Perfect Polka embossing folder and a 3d look was given with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The leaves were cut with the Big Shot and the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die.

The letters for Mum were cut using the Big Shot and the Medium Sizzlets Dies.

The flowers were stamped with the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and inked using the Stampin' Write markers. The vase was punched with the ornament punch with the bottom cut off to turn it into a vase!

You are Loved!

'You are Loved' is a beautiful set available in the new Spring Mini Catalogue and isn't just for valentines! We made this set at my class last week, and I love the simplicity of Real Red, Whisper White and Crumb Cake.
The stamped greeting on the card is detailed enough not to need too much else, so the bird punch is ideal to add a little more without being over the top fussy! If you love the swirly design of this stamp but do not need the greeting, you can pop a punched greeting over the top showing just the swirls of the image behind.

The box is holding a bag of red foiled chocolate hearts and love bugs, wrapped with a Real Red satin ribbon and decorated with a heart tag which has been stamped with the large heart stamp from the You are Loved set. I cut thin strips of card and made them into swirls to add some decoration.

The pillow box is so simple to make with the pillow box die used in the Big Shot. I embossed it with the Square Lattice embossing folder and to create the window, I punched out a heart with the Heart punch and inserted a piece of window sheet to fill the gap. The Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon adds a subtle bow. Just add some Love Heart sweets and that's it, simple!
Supplies:
Stamp Set: You are Loved
Ink: Real Red, Crumb Cake
Card: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Big Shot: Pillow Box Die, Scallop Square Bigz Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Embellishments: Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Read Red Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels
Punches: Full Heart, Decorative Label, Large Oval, Bird Builder

Simple Lavender Bags

It was time to dust off my sewing machine when Stampin' Up! introduced fabric, but I had to start simple! These lavender bags were so easy to make, now I can move on to projects a little more taxing! The pink fabric is from the Flirtatious set, and is cut using the Big Shot Scalloped Square die. The Pool Party bag I didn't 'pretty up' as it was a gift for my brother and I didn't want it to look girly!! I'm hoping it will induce calm and restful sleep....

The fabric is from the Spice Cake set which is found in the new Spring Mini Catalogue. Both are filled with home grown lavender and make ideal gifts so why not make a selection!

A Spicy start to 2012!

This was my first class of 2012 and used new items from the Spring Mini Catalogue which is full of new products. The Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and co-ordinating fabric, set the colour combo of Pool Party, Soft Suede, More Mustard and Very Vanilla.
This shows the beautifully soft Very Vanilla velvet ribbon.
The flowers on this pyramid card were cut using the Big Shot Fancy Flowers Die, and then embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Each flower was then lightly inked with Soft Suede and layered, curling each petal slightly. The tiniest vanilla flower in the centre is from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch set and this is finished off with a Pearl Jewel.
Now this cute package contains chocolate, so I was lucky to get a photo before it disappeared! The wrapping is a glassine bag which has been put through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. A strip of Spice Cake fabric is used as a ribbon and the tag was punched from the Decorative Label and Modern Label punch. It is completed with the greeting from Create a Cupcake and a Itty Bitty punched flower and pearl.

If you would like to order any (or all!) of the products to create these projects, just e-mail me at clare@sparklecrafts.com. To browse the catalogues, just click the pictures on the right.
